*NOVEMBER 29* I just wanted to post another update on my recent ITP diagnosis. I am still off work for awhile, as it has been a challenge regulating my platelets. I have been going for weekly bloodwork and got connected with a Hematologist based out of Saskatoon almost immediately and he is also following my condition weekly. This condition has been challenging for me to adapt to as I am on a high dose of Prednisone to try to build the platelets back up. I am now considered stable and no longer critical, HURRAH! My bruises are healing nicely, but being on this high of a dose is leading to many difficult side effects making it hard for me to maintain a normal schedule. I have been trying to keep busy but I am still taking life one day at a time. Thank you for everyone's patience, and to everyone who has checked in on me. I have really felt the support of this amazing community that I call home. As far as appointments go, I am just waiting for the clear from my drs to get back at it, and I'm hoping to fully open my books again mid Dec. I have been spending a ton of time getting my new office space ready for you all and I can't wait for the big reveal! *OCTOBER 26* Hello everyone, unfortunately I am having some intense health complications and I will be closing my practice for a week or 2. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that causes the plateles in my blood to drop drasticlly and be life-threataning. I spent the weekend in the Humboldt hospital and received amazing care. (The drs and nurses are fantastic here, and for that I am soo thankful.) I have cancelled my remaining October clients, and hopefully I will be back sometime in November. I will be messaging everyone individually according to the phone number I have on file, so stay tuned if you are booked in November. I offer direct billing to most group plans with the exception of Blue Cross, CO-OP, Green Sheild, and a few others. If you would like to set up direct billing please bring your provider card (or mobile version) to your appointment. If you can't find an appointment time that suits you on the online booking site please feel free to add yourself to the waitlist and I will let you know if anything comes up. Cancellations with at least 2 hours notice are acceptable as long as I am contacted because I can still usually fill the time slot.
